It is my participation in baseball that has taught me that losing is nothing to be ashamed of, but something that we can learn from. Although winning is something we all love, losing teaches you how much harder you have to work and train to win the next time. And now that my career has ended, I realize that playing baseball at a competitive level enshrined the spirit of competition within me and that the bonds that I have created through baseball with coaches and friends will be some of the strongest relationships that I will have for the rest of my life.
