A brand new #HeritageMinute tells the story of the Vancouver Asahi baseball team. Challenged both on and off the field, they won multiple titles over 27 years. In 1942 their run was cut short, when they were interned along with 22,000 other Japanese Canadians. #HeritageMinutes @HistoricaCanada

The Asahi Baseball Association (formerly known as the Canadian Nikkei Youth Baseball Club) is dedicated to creating healthy communities through the game of baseball. Inspired by the legacy of the Asahi Baseball team, for their skill, perseverance and accomplishments, it is our collective dream to bring back the Asahi Baseball Team to the Nikkei Community and Canada.
We believe in fair play, hard work and teamwork. We are a new club and are open to all, without regard to gender, ethnic origin or residency. Categories
