Thank you for your support. After 2 years of COVID and no baseball tournaments, Asahi is proud to announce that we will be sending a 13U tournament team to the Best of the West Tournament in Kamloops on September 30 to October 2, 2022. Traditionally, Asahi has sent a 13U team to a tournament in Kamloops in the Fall of each year as Kamloops is a special place for Asahi. Kaye Kaminishi the last surviving member of the original Asahi team resides in Kamloops and has attended the tournament to cheer on the team. We are hoping to once again see him at the tournament games.
Given the short period of time to put a competitive team together for this tournament, it was not practical to have a formal tryout. As a result, the coaches have selected players based on their commitment to the Asahi way of baseball and skills and abilities that was demonstrated in all the Asahi indoor clinics, summer training, and Fall Ball throughout the years. We are proud to announce that the following players have been selected to represent Asahi at the Best of the West Tournament this year.
